Cambridge railway station is the primary station of Cambridge located at the end of Station Road one mile southeast of the city centre. The station is managed by Greater Anglia and is one of the two railway stations in the city.
The station opened in 1845, and its design has been attributed to British architects Sancton Wood and Francis Thompson. It conatains eight platforms, including the third-longest railway platform in the UK at 470 metres.
